More on That Guy "Arbuckle"

Thank you Joyce

I remember my grandmother had a scrapbook with silent screen stars she put together when she was a teenager.   Fatty Arbuckle was one of her favorite entries.
He was the highest paid actor/comedian of his time.
One million dollars a year, an unheard of amount of money in 1923.
See History entry APR 12....

I goggled Fatty Arbuckle and found that the guy only weighed 250-300 lbs.  After the Fatty Arbuckle trial for rape was over they decided that the woman (Rappe) had alcohol poisoning, but was also known for blackmailing well known people.  Three days after the alledged rape, she was taken to a woman's hospital where she may have had an abortion and died the next day of a ruptured bladder.

Three hundred pounds was a big for a man back in the 1920's, but not big enough to rupture someone's bladder.
Most likely a blotched abortion!!

I've been AWOL from JLand for a few days because of a cold.  I've been nothing less than a sneezing snotty mess.  Blah!  I am sneezing so much Jazzy can no longer stand being in the same room with me.  She gives me a sideways dirty look as if to say, "Lady, I can't sleep!"

See what I did today?
  I made water!

Now to figure out how to add my s/n and word art.
Tomorrow....

Hi.  My grandmother Charlotte Cole was a silent movie actress, but she wasn't a star.  She knw some of them though.

I do hope you're feeling better.  Spring is not the appropriate time to be sick.

I love that tag you did and love the one Joyce made.  You guys are really getting so good!  LOL at Fatty Arbuckle.  My older brother always was calling me "Arbuckle" when I was a kid to upset me.  Hope you feel better soon.  HUGS Chris

Awww, sorry you're sick, Bethe!! Do you use Zicam or Airborne??? I swear by Zicam to make my colds shorter and less severe....but I think you have to start either of those at the first sign of a cold. Hope yours goes away fast!!!

Take care,
:) Carol
