No Sunshine Today

HI Everyone!

I've had plenty of positive comments about my 'history in a bottle' entries.  I don't pretend to know it all.  Several web sites are used for research and try to pick the most relevant to world history, american history, music, entertainment,
and birth dates.  And I'm learning so much!

Just the  'Headlines" could be posted,  but I've found that I like to find out why someone is famous or what caused certain events to happen.  My personal choice.
So I put the headlines in gold and you all can skim it if you like.

It's been raining since 9 pm last evening.  It's an umbrella day.  It's also a day for boots as Lake Bay Aire is ascending upon me.  The drainage is so poor that the water does not seep though the limestone beneath the sand.  The water is rising between the RV's, up the back road, and soon to be over my patio.  My place is elevated though so I'm not worried about flooding.  Just can't go anywhere.

I have decided that this year I am going to buy Sunflower seeds to plant in the front.  The afternoon sun is blistering in my front yard in the summer and even though plants like Crotons and Plumeria can take the heat I'd like more flowers.
So Sunnies it is!

The dog has crawled into my lap, her head on the keyboard~Thunder.  Lightening diconnected my connection so better go before I lose this entry.

Rain in Florida?  Can't be.  Seriously, I hope it stops soon.  You are all so level by the sea.  I love reading your history events for the day.  You really put a good bit of time into them, hunh?  I learn something new every day.  Hugs Chris

I think sunflowers are a good idea.  They will also provide shade for your house too.  Linda

UGH, yesterday was AWFUL!! We were driving back from North Carolina, and were doing great until we hit I-75 in Ocala. It was pouring, and the traffic was backed up horribly. We crawled all the way down to Tampa, passing wreck after wreck after wreck. It was awful, and to make things worse, poor Kasey had some kind of stomach virus and was vomiting and feverish all the way home. :( Trip from hell, I tell ya!!!

Glad you didn't get flooded, Bethe....it certainly did rain buckets!!!! GAH

Hugs,
:) Carol

It is unusual for you to report no sun ~ welcome to my, as of recently, very dreary & rainy world!!  Seems to rain more than the sun shines.

I sure hope your RV is okay??  Wouldn't want to think of you flooded ~ stupid weather huh?  Sunflowers sounds like a great idea.  Hope it stops raining long enough for you to plant them ;)
