Q & A & a Recipe

I've had a migraine the past few days and just couldn't get my thoughts together enough to write.
So I thought I'd answer a couple of questions.

Jasamine is my 10 1/2 yr old, 15 pound butterball Maltese.  She loves  loves, loves kids and has never  thought of uttering a growl.  Let alone bitten me or anyone.  Jazzy is just a white fuzzy teddy bear lover.
She has a bunch of "clothes"  (thinks to Sandy) and when I say, "let's get your clothes on" she get wiggles wit excitement to put on her favorite purple beads, flowred scarves, or kerchiefs .

The day the picture was taken on the entry below, I was selling the doggy clothes that Sandy had made.
Jasmine was the model and good at it, too!

A few people have asked me if I makemy own Hummus.  Definitely YES!  I live down the street from the Greek fishing community of Tarpon Springs were there is lots of good seafood, Greek and Mediterranean food.

A few years ago I had a friend from Lebanon who made out of this world Hummus.
I had to have the recipe.  And thought you all may like....

Hummus
2 large cans Progresso or Hanover Chick Peas
2 large cloves of Garlic
1/4 C. Lemon juice
4 T. Tahini (sesame paste)
1/4 C Olive Oil
salt and pepper to taste

Drain:  Chick Peas & wash in cold water, place in food processor
Add:Garlic, Lemon Juicd, Tahini, Olive Oil, s&p

Blend together
Taste for lemon, add more if needed
Add water slowly to make a creamy paste

That is all there is to it.  I serve with the hummus with pita bread and sometimes I'll add olive oil to a fry pan and brown the pita until golden.

I wish I had a blender.

I've been to Tarpon Springs.  On a day off from doing a show in Sarasota a buddy and I drove out there and walked around.  I bought a sponge.
