Tuesday Tails

Hello All!

A very busy few days.....

Saturday, Sandy's hubby cam over and installed my new air conditioner.
Ten Thousand BTU's of wonderfulness!

The first night I set the temp to 68 degrees.  I was chilled by morning as I only had a thin summer weight cotton quilt over the sheets.
The next night at 73, I was too warm and awoke drenched.
Last night set the thermostat at 70, set the timer for it to go off at 4 am.  Awwww, hog heaven!

Sunday, I got my brushes, 3 gallons of Kool Seal for the rubber roof, and mesh for patching and up I went on the ladder.  I had to wait for the dew to burn off so that meant I had to wait until after 12.

I had  dropped a pretty heavy hint to Marc on Saturday, when he came over to lay by the pool, that I was planning on doing the roof .   Now I don't know how I am going to feel from day to day since I am doing Spring Cleaning also it wasn't a sure thing.  But I did tell him and he knows the roof has to be washed every 6 months, patched or entry sealed every year.  Noon came and I called him.  "No, can't come right now I just got up"
Me...Did you go out last night?
I went to Busch Gardens.
To myself Holy Shit, this kid says his back is so bad he can't work...where does he go?
Busch Gardens!!  Walking, Roller Coasters.

I was not feeling the love.

Two and half hours later Marc pulled up in his Jeep.  I was done except for some touch ups and I was sitting with a couple or grasins, that's Florida for wrinkled 'ol folk (raisins) with gray hair.
Sue is an RN &  shy, like me ::wink wink::, blurts out HOW is your back?!  He told Sue that he knew he was in deep shit & grabbed a case of Mt Dew out of the back & presented to me as a peace offering.
Hmmm, I would have been happier with a bottle of wine.

When I asked him if he thought going to Busch Gardens was a good idea and wouldn't his night be spent better laying down, he told me he HAD to go "It was a Corporate Thing".  Me thinks to myself again~Great impression...You miss work all week but just to make it look good you go to the "Corporate Thing".  It's not like he is in management~Me thinking again.

So I took a muscle relaxant and was out firing up my grill when the "New Guy" in the HUGE Motor Home across the road came over.  He wanted to know if I'd like some of the pork roast he had been cooking on his Ronco Rotisserie for the last 4 1/2 hours.
Hell yeah!
And so I add another folder to "Bethe's Files".

We made plans for the remaining pork to be used for Pork Fried Rice.  I make really good Pork Fried Rice.  I wasn't planning on making it the very next night, but the hospital called and they moved my EDG/Colonscopy up one day.  So since Tuesday I'd be taking all the "Prep" and Wednesday feeling really dopey, I fixed it up last night.  I cooked, he cleaned up, refilled my wine glass and even watched 'Dancing with the Stars' with me.

I have been drinking 8 oz of this pseudo cherry flavored stuff every fifteen minutes for an hour and half.  That's it.  No more is going down.

Oh NO -- cherry flavored stuff? Was it Go-litely (sp?) which should really be called Go-HEAVILY?? UGH, if so, honey, I feel for you - I've had three colonoscopies and the first one was the dreaded Gallon of Go-litely....I only got half of it down before I started puking it up. (Ewwww) Fortunately, the next two times, the doctor had me take Phospho-soda instead which is a MUCH smaller amount that you mix with gingerale and drink. You should ask your gastroenterologist about it for your NEXT one, Bethe....

Anywho, I hope everything comes out okay (hahahaha...I crack myself up!)

Hugs,
:) Carol

I like graisins.  Maybe you should drink the wine instead of the cherry junk.  Wine has amazing therapeutic and mystical qualities you know.
