The Adventures of Marc/Or Marc fell off a Bar Stool

Last week my son decided to he needed to work on his credit status. He decided first that he needed to get the cost of the loan down for his Jeep. After going to several banks and being told he didn't have bad credit it just wasn't built up enough to refinance the loan.
Then he want to Achieva Bank, talked with the loan person. She apparently thought there may be a way and called in the Bank Manager. Marc said that he almost fell off his chair as the bank manager turned out to be a woman who had formally worked in Human Resources at the company he now works. He said he always wanted to ask her out, but he was new and at an entry level job. Figured he had no chance. He told me he had wondered where she went and now. She smile, he smile. And she told the loan lady to give him the loan.
Marc said the lady's eyeballs almost fell out of her face & asked "Really?"
So the Bank Manager called in the Loan officer to sign as well. Marc said she was "Smokin' HOT!" and could tell she had an eye for him, too.
She signed and Marc has deceased his payments by 100 dollars a month.

Marc works second shift at a satellite optics company, so that night the woman who is the bank manager and the loan officer made plans to meet him for a drink. Apparently by the time he got there the 2 of them had been there for a while and the form HR woman was drunk. And was sucking on his neck telling him she wanted him to take her home. She wanted him, her boyfriend was out of town and would never know. Now Marc is no angel, but he wasn't going home with her.
He was having his beer and talking with her coworker when she decided she was going to jump into Marc's lap from behind. He fell backwards to the floor with her on top of him. That night he ended up in the ER for X-Rays was told to take 2 weeks off from work & was given prednisone, and pain medicine. BIG mistake! Marc used to sniff crushed vicodin, oxycodone. He's done GHB and Ectasy. But he is 31 yrs old now and has been away from that for a while.

The past few days he has been here everyday. The first day he asked me for a couple of Valium (diazepam 5 mg) that I used to use when my back tightened up. He told me how he was taking 2 Percocet at a time and it wasn't helping.
I let him have 2 Valium.

Marc stopped by the next day and laid by the pool for a while. I was doing laundry, but when I looked up he had left. When I was folding he left . I thought it was strange as he left without saying good-bye. He called and said he was having a lot of pain and wanted to go home to sleep. A few minutes later I walked thru the bathroom to put clothes away in the bedroom, thought, then checked the Valium. Dang! He must have taken at least 10-20 pills.

I usually keep my medicine in my bedroom where they are out of his easy reach. Now I wish I know exactly how many pills he took, but I stopped counting them as I thought this phase of his life was over. So I have hidden them in my "goodie drawer" and he is going to have to get past my "goodies" to find them. ::wink, wink::
Since then he had an MRI and he has a compacted disc and has started Physical Therapy. I suggested he ask the physical therapist for a TENS unit for pain.

It's been a week now and he hasn't returned to work. The bank Manager called and asked him for his account number. She was highly embarrassed & deposited $250.00 to help with his medical bills.
Marc did come over yesterday to pick up a UPS package. And again he went into my bathroom. An "Ah-Ha moment" asI remembered how he doesn't usually use the bathroom here. He didn't ask for pills though, and I didn't offer.

Looky at my sidebar. There is a World Map I posted a month ago. Since then I have had people from 15 countries visit. Isn't that the coolest??

We all did stupid things in our past .
I hope he does not relive his past.
He should've donned a hood and shagged her, but then again i like his morals, no need to get involved with some one who is taking.
Have a great weekend and enjoy spring.
Marc certainly has an interesting life! Linda

Sometimes life seems to be one step forward and two steps back. I think Marc is in this phase right now. We all have our achilles heel and I am sorry Marc has been put in a position that he has to revisit a dependency he had all but conquered. I'll be sending positive vibes Marc's way to help him get off the pills and into some real therapy to relieve his pain symptoms. Too cool about your world map!

Sheesh, all that to decrease a loan. Life is too weird. I sure hope Marc gets it all together and gets back on his feet with the drugs. What a darned shame to go for a loan and end up with a bad back. A mama can never stop worrying, hunh? Love ya, Chris
what is it with kids??? why didn;'t anyone warn us it could be like this???

I'm so sorry he got hurt, but he can't be taking pills like that. I'd put the meds under lock and key.

What a shame that had to happen to him just when it seemed to be going well. Hope his pain goes soon x
