Yep, another one of mine
WHEW!
I finally got sometime online.
The past couple of weeks I've been eating dinner every other night with man across the street. Yes, 'Pork Man'.
Pork Man's real name is Scott and I don't quite know how to take him. We had a few friendly dinners where he cook the grilled and I made salad or a vegetable. Then afterword we'd watch 'Dancing with the Stars'.
One night he said he had gone to a Beach Bar type resturant for a couple of beers. He thought the place was great. Hmmm?? Not so in my oppion and I had told him about a few of my favorite places to eat in Palm Harbor ~ Peggy O' Neil's and The Thirsty Marlin.

Peggy O' Neil's is an old bank with rustic dark wood walls and a painted metal tile ceiling. The Irish theme and cuisine has impressed many of my "dates". Scott wanted to check it out and invited me along last Wednesday. He enjoyed his dark draft beer and corned Beef & Cabbage. I had Buffalo Wings and a beer also. The conversation went well and everything went "alright" : / Not a whole lot of sparks, but I am beginning to wonder if at my age there are and "sparks" left. The night ended with us going to his motor home and watching a little TV until he fell asleep in the Lazy Boy chair.
The next date was this past Wednesday and this time we went to the Thirsty Marlin which is directly across the street from Peggy O' Neil's. A friend of his had fallen ill while visiting the previous weekend after driving up from Coral Gables. Scott had let the man use his car for the drive back & Scott had use of a Harley for the week.
Yahoooo!!
Mid-70's, humidity low, no clouds in the sky ~ It was a great night for ride. Thirsty Marlin is only about a mile down the road so that was a short little ride. We ate ~ shared a Calamari with Marinara appetizer, he ordered the Shrimp with fruit salsa and Jamaican rice. I had the Shrimp Scampi with angel hair pasta. Mmmmmm! After dinner we went north and I took him to Sunset Beach just as the sun was setting into the Gulf. This time when we got home he gave me a nice kiss. A spark....maybe.
We went out for lunch today also. Greek food from the Bread and Butter Deli on Alternate 19 (Palm Harbor Drive) and then to the RV dealer for part and Home Depot for light bulbs and caulk for my place. At five this afternoon the RV Park had it's monthly Pot Luck dinner. During the summer, after all the Snow Birds leave, there are only about 25 people in the Park (vs. 250). The owner buys the MEAT and today it was KFC with all the fixings that come with. Some people brought salads, but most brought desserts. Me? I had a Brain Fart and even thought I boiled eggs for deviled eggs, stuck them in the refrigerator to cool, I forgot all about them. Time for dinner and no deviled eggs? Everyone expects my Deviled Eggs after all these yrs AND what happens ~ Brain Fart!

After we ate we sat on the porch of the Recreation Hall to watch the sunset (you see a theme here?) with Sandy and Bill. Ruth who has just returned from a cruise/tour to Italy, Greece, Croatia was telling us the nightmare stories of her trip. One of the things they did was climb a Hill/mountain in Greece and took the route the locals directed. Wrong path so they climbed down and took the another path. When they reached the top there was a sign ~ Welcome Fat Happy Americans!

Thank you Donna!
*In case you are wondering ~ No kiss tonight : /
