I believe it's from the late 60's, early 70's.

At the time  I was was into Acid rock, Heavy Rock, Southern Rock and not into the 'Bubble Gum Rock'.

The Bubble Gum flooded the airways on AM Radio and sooo not my taste.  Too sweet, too superficial.

And at the time I was too much a 'Rock Snob' to listen to such dribble~LOL

 

Now, I find songs like these sooooo funny
