ONE FINE DAY TAG

I had to call Sandy Sunday morning and postpone the Pedicure ~ DANG!!  Poor Jasmine has had diarrhea since Wednesday.  We'll go in 2 weeks when Sandy has her next weekend off.  The pedicure was suppose to be my Birthday present to me.

Saturday Sandy called and said that her hubby wanted to know if I wanted to go to Bob Evans for Blueberry pancakes.  On the way we saw many signs for Yard sale .  This is the perfect time of year in Florid to have yard sales since it isn't too hot nor are we into rainy season, yet.  We'd see a green florescent sign~U turn and we'd stop & look over some JUNK. On the road again, see a  pink florescent sign~ U turn.  Look over another man's JUNK.  On the road~pink sign~U turn and we did n't quite make it.  So here we are sitting in the road waiting for a car to hit us broad side.  I'm laughing as I am in the back seat being tossed about.  She actually told me to KNOCK it off or "she'd hurt me!" A joke we have between us ~ I always tell her 'I'll pinch her and pinch her hard' if she tries to HURT me.

She got the car straight in the lane and we are finally going in the right direction in our lane of traffic and we hit a speed bump on a road that alreadyis on an incline to it as it heads down to a beach..  Now we are AIRBORNE!!  Airborne in a Pria!  Well she took abuse from both of us.  No goodies at the next stop.  Now we are getting really hungry.  Well, found 2 more sales, 2 more stops, before we got to Bob Evan's. No goodies to be found.  Sandy always orders from the Senior Menu when we go and orders the Blueberry pancakes for me as I'm not a SENIOR Citizen, yet.

Then we decided to go to one of the RV places to see if we could find couches, table, chairs and a toilet for the small trailer those kids trashed.  All the certified letters that Sandy sent were signed for and the time has run out for them to come back to get it.  So it's Sandy and her hubby's now.

So we were on busy U.S. 19 and Sandy does U-turn after pulling out of the restaurant parking lot.  Then she saw another Yard Sale sign from across 6 lanes of traffic ~ U turn!  This time Sandy found 2 comfy wicker chairs with tropical print cushions.  Next door was a double wide trailer $5,000 bucks.  I had a Florida Room and central A/C.  Old, but Sandy's hubby can build anything.  The trouble is the lot rent was $500 per month.  Still it would be a good buy.

Before we left that trailer park Sandy saw a sign~Open House"..  The guy actually waved us over to the side of the road.  Sandy being the kind heart that she is turrned off the car and we all went in.  The man was old, yet, trying to hard sell a musty old trailer.  The price only 10, 500~No Thanks.  So another U turn and we are headed back to busy U.S. 19 heading south.  As we are cruising I was assigned to look left for the RV place.  Sandy's husband left.  After a few miles 'Hubby' called to confirm the address and we determined it would be on the right side.  In the past few yrs the state has tried to remedy the parking problem on U.S. 19 & overpasses were constructed at intersections.  Just as we were approaching another overpass we spotted the place on an Access Rd.  So we hang a right and we drove past the narrow drive into the place.

Now to get back to the approach would entail going to the light, taking a left, go to the next light, taking a left, getting back on US 19, head north to the next overpass, take a right, left at the light, go south on US 19 until we would find the Access Rd again.  So Sandy decided to pull to the right and back up the 50 ft or so.  First we had to wait for the traffic (going 55 mph) to pass.  Now we are in a Pria, a car, which is basically an Aluminum Box setting atop a Go Cart, and I am watching a BIG BLACK TRUCK bearing down on us as Sandy is backing up.  Suddenly she yanks the wheel and we whip backwards into the drive.  Thank god there were no cars exiting the drive!   Then she brakes suddenly where sit long enough to watch that BIG BLACK TRUCK that was bearing down on us pass.

The men just looked at us looking at them as they just shook their heads.  I've never seen a move like that either,  nor do I really want to again.  G/F couldn't understand my distress.  Well, DANG, I'm in the backseat and basically sitting there like Crash Dummy waiting for the BIG BLACK TRUCK to hit, BESIDES being the only Impact Bumper between Sandy,  hubby and the truck.

Turns out the Parts Department at the RV place closed at 12 Noon (Summer Hours-No SnowBirds).
We had arrived at 12:15.

My daughter, Nicci, called from Chicago in the middle of all this.  She was headed into work the first time she called then called again about 11:30 pm.

When we got home poor little Jasmine had had several accidents while we were gone.  She has never had in indoor accident since she was 'grass trained'.  At first she had her head down and looked so ashamed & embarrassed.  I felt so bad, told her it was OK.  Then she got happy when she saw Sandy and in her excitement she stepped in the mess.  So I scooted her out, picked up mess, cleaned the dog's feet and got out the TUFF STUFF.   Great stuff!   It's a heavy duty upholstery cleaner that works like a dream.  That is if cleaning dog poo is in your dreams or your future.  Seriously it is great stuff to keep on hand & can be found at Walmart.

I was going to spend the rest of the afternoon with Sandy and hubby but remembered Marc said he was going to come over for a while and lay by the pool.  He 'TEXTed' to tell me he was on his way over, then 3 more times that he was running late.  Why was he running late? A girl called him and asked him to meet her at Starbuck's.  By the time he got here it was 4:30 and I wasn't too keen on goingout to the pool so he went by himself.  He wasn't done catching a few rays it was after 5 and I had been IM'd that the Chat room was open for PSP class.  COOL!  Marc didn't think it was cool, he left.

That was okay I had plans for dinner with Sandy and Hubby for Chinese Buffet.  Sandy doesn't eat Chinese, Seafood, BBQ, Tex-Mex, Thai, Indian or anything with a little zip to it.  She had Pizza (frozen & from a box I'm sure) Chicken tenders and a few green beans.  She watch her hubby and I eat Sushi, Shrimp, BBQ ribs, Chop Suey, soups, etc.

When we got home....UGGG!  More clean-up.  Sunday was an rougher day for the poor little girl.  Every hour, all day all night.  Her poor little butt is so excoriated.  And everytime, blood in the stool.

This morning I called and got her into the Doggie Doctor.  First, he stuck a probe in her baskside. Jazzy didn't even flinch.  No worms (I knew that).  Asked if she had her Parvo.   He KNEW when she had her last dose ~ 1 yr, 2 months ago.  I knew he was scolding me for being behind on her vaccinations.  Two months ~ POO!

I told him she was only 2 months behind and asked "Besides doesn't Parvo hit the dogs hard and fast?" "She's had this for 5 days, and only started acting sick yesterday" i.e. hot, not hungry and 'clingy'.  I also told him that she is not a gassy dog.  Never had a problem.  She actually cant stand to fart.  It's too funny when she does, she gets up, gives her butt a dirty look and tries to get away from it.  But, no matter where she goes her butt follows.  Now last night I was sitting her and like I said she's been clingy and wanting in my lap.  The gas smell familiar it took me a few minutes and I realized it was exactly like baby shit.  Yep, the yellow stuff.  Doggie Doc said he thought from the smell that she has Corona Virus.  Something that is so uncommon they don't vaccinate for anymore.

He also looked at her left eye where I had noticed green, yucky drainage yesterday.  Turns out somehow she has had 3 corneal abrasions that are now healed.  The eye has an infection so eye drops were given. He gave her 2 shots, antibiotics and gave me Lomotil and antibiotic to give her by mouth for a week. Poor girl is falling apart.

The Lomotil is working.  And she actually was at bowl a little while ago asking for kibbles.  I gave her a few just to pacify her.  And more fresh water~ she's been drinking lots of water.  Maltese don't drink much water.  She must need it.

The vet bill for 15 minutes, worm test, 2 shots, and 2 medications ONLY $205.00

Jeez, I have blood pressure and if I'd been in that car I would have probably been ready to stroke out lol ~ I have a cow when Cindy drives like what I think is a lunatic LOL  apparently a lot of Texas drivers drive like her ~ I drive like a older woman LOL  follow the speed limit EXACTLY ~ and am a very cautious and defensive driver.  About Jasmine?  I hope she feels much better soon! I can imagine how you must feel... I'd be frantic if anything happened to either of the cats or the dogs.   They are my babies just like Jasmine is your baby.  Hugz**  Teresa
P.S.  Did you get my b'day email?  LOL  you never know with AOL anymore.
