~Home Again~

We just got back to Palm Harbor tonight.  Too tired to journal, really.......I did most of the driving.  Sandy, poor thing, was so stressed out.  But, she and I did a lot of things g/f's do besides closing "house keeping", talking with docotrs, visiting with realitives, and "Granny", making arrangements with oxygen companies, getting medications, correcting mistakes on medications, and the oxygen orders.    We talked and talked, ate ice cream instead of dinner, went to a couple of Kentucky craft stores, and the original "Colonal Sanders Chicken"  aka KFC.

Sandy wakes up very early in the morning, and because I am a light sleeper I'd wake up.  She'd get in bed with me, prop herself up on her pillows and we talked about being kids and having "Sleep-overs".  I told Sandy I never had a g/f sleep over when I was growing up.  My father abused me, and I didn't want anything to happen to any of my girl friends.  I had never told any of my friends why, just didn't invite anyone over.  I never got too close to anyone because I was so ashamed.

So, here at age 50, I had my first "sleep over" with a true friend and I was not ashamed to tell her what my childhood was like.

I'm glad Y'all are home safe.  It's nice to be able to share things with a friend, even the bad stuff.  I'm glad that part of your life is over for you.
