How do you not post a pics of Frogs on Leap Day?
Being a single woman I am sitting here scrtaching my head ~ I don't get it.
On the Today show & Good Morning America they reported today is Sadie Hawkin's Day as well as Leap Day. This is the day it is socially permissable for women to ask men out on a date or to marry.
In the Li'l Abner comic strip, Sadie hawkins was the daughter of Dog Patch's earliest settlers, Hekzebiah Hawkins. When his daughter turned 35 and was still umarried he called all of Dog Patch bachlor's together and declared that Day (November 13th) to be Sadie Hawkins Day.
A foot race was was to occur, where to be fair the men would have a head start when the a gun was fired. The man that Sadie would catch would be her husband.
The town spinsters decided this was a good idea and should be a yearly event.
Maybe this is were the Leap Day/Sadie Hawkins Day convergence occurs ~ We single women get to catch out very own FROG!

I don't know about any of this Sadie Hawkins deal, I never heard of it except for one time I remember a Sadie Hawkins Dance in High School. I like the little frog, he is adorable. I can't wait until my frogs come back!! Too cold for them now. Well I guess Happy Leap & Sadie Day to you!
