Nice Matters

Being way behind in my NICE MATTERS AWARD selections, I figured I better get down to it.

 

 

         

 

 

Gillie of GILLIE TIME .... Gillie was my very first reader back in September.  I found it was a whole lot easier to journal when I felt like writing a letter to someone.  Gillie was my very first someone.  She is kind, considerate and always has an uplifting word for everyone.

 

 

Carol ..... She doesn't have a Journal, but is a reader.  She and I started exchanging Emails after she noticed my PALM HARBOR journal on the blog list.  She lives about 10 miles south of me and we hit it off instantly.  So many times she has made me laugh at myself or situations I get myself into.  Often inspiring an entry.  Thank you Carol!

 

Connie of ANYWAY...my friend since the day we met.  She is my 'Foxy' Friend who has lead me around JLand by the hand.  If she can't find an answer to my NEWBIE questions, she knows where to find it.

 

Sam of DOCK LINES ..... I am honored that he likes my reads.  Back in August I happened up on his journal and found myself fascinated by his eloquent writing.  He has inspired me to write descriptively and meld that fine line of writing using good grammar & punctuation, but still writing my personality is not lost.  

I had his journal in my FAVS when he posted an entry in August saying that he was going to take a long break from writing.  He described himself as a "Lurker"  one day in December when he emerged from his cloak and told me he had been coming to read my entries religiously for a couple of months.  Sam is back to his journal now, writing entries and sharing photos.

 

Oh, this is so difficult.....I have to choose only 1 more person and I have met so many people in JLand since the conception of my Journal September 11th.

 

Missie of Missie's Upside Down World ...... She has a private journal now...so no link.   Missie, I think you the ultimate Ambassador of JLand.  You encourage us Newbies every day with your kind words.  

I have noticed that Missie is often the only commenter in new journals.  She has inspired me to do the same.  After all, who wants to feel all alone in this vast space called the World Wide Web?

 

 

 

 

 

 

My son, Marc, just called.  Now that he doesn't have a g/f he comes to visit 'The MAMA' every Sunday agian.  I think we'll probably sit by the pool, drink iced Tea, maybe watch a movie, and I'll make dinner ....Tilapia topped with tomatoes and onions,seasoned, wrapped and baked in foil envelopes. I'll steamed spinach or maybe Marc will talk my into making his favorite "KORN!"

 

Why the lean quisine?

I decided it was time these 20 lbs that grabbed hold of me the past few years have got to go.  

 

Yes, I have officially started my very first DIET...... I joined Weight Watchers January 15th.  I had to abort the diet during the Kentucky Trip.  Sandy and her mother love Cracker Barrel.  I think we must of hit every Cracker Barrel Restaurant on I-75 between here and Corbin, Kentucky and then back agian.   I realized on the 1st stop, Cracker Barrel is not known for their salads and fresh vegies.
