The beach at Honeymoon Island State Park ~
Dunedin, Florida.
Busy days, these days. The RV Park is full and the activities in the park are in full swing with the recreation hall filled to the MAX every night. This morning was our Association Meeting of which I am Secretary. Already we are planning for the 2008-2009 Season with getting volunteers for everything from Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter dinners to Happy Hour/Social hour. Line Dancing to Texas Hold'em. We have fund riaisers for audio equipment and today we decided to invest in a 48" LCD Flat Screen TV. This year a group of people took a bus trip to Key West for 3 days. I'm hoping next year there will be a trip to St. Augustine or even Savannah (Helloooo...Sam!).
Also today I looked at a couple of SONY cameras. I'm not sure which one I'm going to get. I have found that the one I have is so obsolete now that it is just time to invest in a new one. While I was out I went to Walmart* (no "s") and bought a new table top grill. It wasn't until I got home and opened the box did I realize I had bought electic. Nope, wouldn't do. I have to have propane for when the storms go thru in the summer. We will lose electric power from 2-4 hours on a regular day when out summer storms. Seven 7 days or more is a hurricane comes into the Gulf. I was thinking of getting a free standing gas grill with a propane burner to cook vegetables or pasta for $129.00, not a bad price at all. Then I thought and I can easily put an iron pot over the grate of the small table top to accomplish the same thing. And with seriously considering a new camera I'm bucking up. I like food, but love a good cam.
I'd like to make the camera purchse by Thursday so I can take photos for you all at the Stawberry Festival.
Thanks to Donna for the tag above

Boy, Bethe! It would be great if that tour bus brought Y'all all the way up here to Savannah! Good luck on the purchase of the Sony camera. You are right about the cameras being so much more advanced just in the last couple of years. I remember the summer power outages in Flroida. I think propane is definately the way to go and the table top should be just fine for your needs. Just make sure the table you use it on is outside. They are not for inside use at all.

Bethe,
We looked at small grill tops in an camping store and they were $50 including the small propane... check one of those out... maybe you can have the camera and the cooking spare for storm season! Loved your pics!
be well,

I'm looking at the Cannon S5........I just need to check on it's resolution size. I have a Panasonic Lumix which is nice, but I can't change it's resolution OR picture size and they come out LARGE!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Honeymoon Island...and do NOTHING to promote it. Never will. Need to keep it a well guarded secret. ;) C.
