I've been having trouble with my Internet provide, Bright House/Road Runner for the past week & 1/2. Sometimes I have a signal, sometimes I don't. The cable guy came on Tuesday & tested my signal. I was receiving too much signal because my trailer is only about 6 feet form the "tower". So he put in a "resister" of sorts. Before he left I asked if he could replace my modem "just in case". His response...I changed Vans last week & didn't restock it. Ugh! Within 15 minutes the little green cable light was out again indicating no connection to the Internet. I call the cable company...and don't you know I had the signal back. Then it went out again Thursday. More off than on all day. Friday the same. Today I had to wait until about 5 pm I was able to make a connection. The cable guy is suppose coming again Sunday afternoon between 2 and 5 pm. I hope this guy brings a new modem. As a result I haven't been around to journls. I'm so sorry.
Being offline I have more time to play with the PSP. I'm actually wondering if I should start a PSP journal or just post things that I am doing here.
Last December when I decided to get my own account with AOL I had signed up using a different S/N. I had always been known on AOL as Disney RN. When I went to get my own account it was never verified. Sort of "Lost in Space". So after a couple of days trying to get into that account I signed up under a different S/N. I was watchin gmy account just in case, Yes, 6 months went by & AOL started to bill my account & I am being billed twice.
I talked with online support. Are all those support people named Gregory? I was given the phone number of AOL Billing. I called and don't you know I am calling some woman in India. I tried to explain that I wanted to cancel the account. The woman insisted that I had no accounts at all. I know I grew imaptient and told her I wouldn't be calling if I didn't have an account. Eventually she found the accounts then tried to convince to keep the extra account for my "Family" for $11.95. I tried to tell her I had no family members at home and that I absolutely did not want to continue that account at any price or under any circumstances. Finally it got thru to her that indeed I meant what I said.
The only other thing that is going on is that Maui is waking up about 6:30-7 am. After she drinks her water (she drinks an amazing amount of water) I put her outside, I take my arthritis medicine & lay down until is takes effect. I get my news-Good Morning America!
Friday morning I had chills, wrapped myself up in a blanket and laid down on the couch for a nap. Maui snauggle up next to me. Jasmine was at my feet. Cripes, the 3 of us slept for 3 1/2 hours! Today I couldn't keep my eyes open come 11 am. And I took a 4 hour nap! This is not me.

Another thing I've been doing is getting caught up on episodes of "Mad Men", an AMC production. The new season starts tomorrow (Sunday) at 10 pm. Mad men won @ Golden glob awards. One for Best TV Drama and the other for Best Actor.
AMC has also produced "Breaking Bad". Another one I am looking forward to starting back up. These aren't reality shows, or "tween" comedy, or CSI "cookie cutter" type show. They are good adult dramas with a twinge of comedy/irony.
Give "Mad Men" a look & let me know what you think.
Remember...sundays, 10 pm, American Movie Channel.

I can sympathsize with the internet connection. After spending a couple hundred to have my computer looked at and upgraded and still not getting a great connection, I finally said enough and changed providers. To date it's been great. Paul(Doc) loves Watching Breaking Bad. It one of the only shows he makes a priority to watch, outside of the history channel. (Hugs)Indigo

I've had problems off and on with my Embarq connection although they've pretty well fixed it. I wondered what happened to you. I sure hope you start to feel better. LOL at the Gregory's. I've had a few plus a couple of Bobby's. HUGS Chris
Hard times with the Internet connection, eh? Sorry about that. My provider is Verizon and initially it took them 45 days to get me on line. I finally threatened them with letters. I keep a log of all business phone calls and visits. I was going to make copies and send it around. Now they treat me with respect.
There are people at AOL who know their business but they are hard to come by.
Get better now. D
I thought AOL was free just like Yahoo and Hot Mail. I don't pay for it at all...just my DSL to the phone company. And I have more than one s/n with AOL. So, I guess I'm as confused as the lady in India. LOL
Hugs, Joyce
This evening I heard similar complaints from my dad about DirectTV. Nothing works seemlesslyanymore. :(

I share your pain & frustration with internet signals. I have Wild Blue (satellite) internet since nothing comes out our way and most won't for twenty years I am told. If it is raining, cloudy, humid or storming within 50 miles we have no signal. I hope they get it squared away for you, it is awfully annoying dealing with in and out signals. I think the indians choose the name they like, therefore they must all like Gregory. LOL. Isn't it ridiculous how painful it can be just to cancel an account! Glad Maui is doing well after her surgery, she sounds like such a good little girl. The naps sound wonderful ~ I'm jealous.
