I want to thank you all for your wonderful words of support.
You all are the best! With each note left I felt so much better.

Kisses
Jazzy is is so much better.
Still on medication, but I'd say 99% better. Of course, no more people food for her. Not even her favorites...watermelon & carrots. She is up to 16 lbs. When her white hair is wet and you can see her pink skin she is plump as a little pink pig.

I've decided that after being verbally and emotionally abused by that Vet that I will definitely not be going back. There are probable 1012- Vets within of where I live.
This Vet just happened to be easy to get to by bicycle.
I'm going to send him a certified letter and tell him that I will pay his fee until paid by the 7th of each month. Not going to tell him, but it's will be on my terms and I may very well pay him 10 bucks a month just because he was such so offensive. I thought about it and I figured out that if he only saw 8 animals a day and charged the owners what he charged me that he was making more in one day than I do in a month. I think he can very well manage his "over head". when I wrote my last entry I hadn't looked at the bill. In February he charged $42 for an office visit. May, it was $54 and this week it was $69. Cripes, that's inflation. Of course, the stool samples, lab tests, 2 injections & flagyl was additional. Chaaa-cinge!
Mau'i was spayed this past Thursday. Yes, I took away her right to be a mother. The tech's were so nice. What a difference from my experience earlier in the week! I think they expected Maui to be a real "wild one". They were amazed at how sweet she was and the man tech said she was such a little princess.
Hehee....Princess Mau'i.

We got home and the poor thing was stumbling around like a drunken sailor without sea legs. She walked around the house like a duck...with her tail between her legs. When she tried to jump onto the couch poor baby would fall over backwards. I tried to keep her calm, but I think she was looking for food (which had to be held until 8 pm) Finally I put her in her crate with a blanket over it & she slept.

That was good for a while. She woke up about 9 pm, ate & drank some water. I put her back in her crate, as I do every night at 11 pm, but she was raring to go and meowed for about an hour, again for an hour at 1, then 3 then 5, then 7am...I got up. And she doesn't "mee-uuuu" her tiny mee-uuu anymore, she yowls like a big girl!

I fed her her breakfast, then she played. Still couldn't jump.
By 11:30 am I couldn't keep my eyes open and I laid down on the couch. Jazzy at my feet, Mau'i curled up next to me and we all slept until 2:45 in the afternoon!
She is fine now also except for the sneezing. The cat Vet has said the sneexing is from the feline herpes she got from her mother and it will act up when her immune system is down or under stress.

Now that she can't get pregnant I'm going to start letting her out. She can jump and play. Find lizards to chase and bugs to eat.

Hopefully using some that of energy that Jazzy and I just dont have. We iz couch "Purr-taters"

And Beachy Bums

Thank you Donna : )

I'm so glad she is doing well and really happy that you decided to change vets. Pay the other guy $2 a month to really get your point across!! Martha :-)

aww poor darling
I'm with Martha -- $10/month is too generous. A friend of mine did that with an emergency room bill for her son who had a piece of popcorn kernel embedded in his lung. She took him to the closest hospital and found out later that it wasn't in her insurance plan. The bill was for more than 10-grand. She's probably STILL paying $5/month she'd agreed to.....and it was more than 10 years ago!! ROFLMAO
I'm glad Maui is feeling better - hope you will be soon, too!!
Hugs,
Carol
So happy to hear Jazzy is doing better and Maui is now spayed and can enjoy her life without worrying about little ones. I would send the guy what you can, if it is $10 fine, if it is $1 that is fine too, at least you are paying.

I'm gald Princess Mau'i is doing well since her surgery! Poor little girl, but you did the right thing. As far as the vet, I think you're handling that right also. Have a fantastic day!
Missie
Glad Mau'i is over her surgery. I've never let my cats go outside. I was always afraid something would happen to them. Of course, that meant getting the front claws removed to save the furniture and dealing with the cat hair. You really gotta love them for all that...lol. I'm so glad Jazzy seems to have recovered too.
Hugs, Joyce
Oh Bethe, be careful letting Maui out... there is so much that can happen to a kitty! I am so happy that Jazzy is well, and I think you should pay that idiot vet $5 a month and let him wait. Jerk.
be well,
Dawn

I am so relieved to know that Jazzy is feeling better. Whatever it was, its gone now, thank goodness. Good on you getting the cat fixed, its the best thing you can do for a pet I think. I remember when we brought Tip home from getting fixed, she was all wobbly like that from the anesthesia..took a while for her to get over it. Go dip those toes in the sand and ocean for me...I will be there soon to do it myself, I hope. :) Kelly
Great news all around. If that Vet wants to get rich and move to Majorca, find one that cares about animals and people.

I am glad things are better with your babies!!
Stupid bet! I know you don't really want to deal with him but I would ask what the difference of the office visits were from one month to the next!

I'm glad Jazzy is doing better. I'm so sorry that the vet was so offensive. I hope Maui has recovered from her operation. Now that she's been spayed she'll be happier, healthier, and bigger.
Lori
